My global village is filled with Americans. My family originally lived in England and was British. In my family there are two brothers and my parents and I. My global village is filled with people from different countries, people who speak different languages, and have different beliefs. For example, Marisa is part Hindu and Luca is part Italian.
My family is Christian and Presbyterian, which are our only religions. We believe in God, Christ and not the Tooth Fairy, but we do believe in Old Saint Nick/Santa Claus. We go to Trinity Presbyterian Church. My Favorite church service is the Christmas service. Lovett chapel is my church too.
My brothers and I speak English and Spanish. My dad learned Latin and German in school and my mom learned French. We all enjoyed being able to talk to people when we visited Costa Rica. My brothers and I could talk to people, but not my mom and dad. Nicholas, my oldest brother, could speak to people the best because he has the most Spanish experience. My parents would ask what they were saying when people talked to us in Spanish. I was kind of clueless about what the Costa Ricans were saying but I could make out a couple words.
Ever day I see different people that are from different countries, speak different language, and have different beliefs. Thank you David Smith for letting me use this wonderful book to inspire me to write about my own global village.
